This is the premium version of the Stanley No. 2 "Excelsior" tool holder, featuring a hollow, ornate cast iron handle rather than the common wood variety. Based on Nathan S. Clement’s patent issued on March 19, 1867, this tool is a beautiful example of Victorian-era engineering and aesthetics.
