Description :
An iconic masterpiece of Postmodern lighting design. Possibly designed by the legendary Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs in the late 1980s, the "Saturn" lamp is a highly coveted collector's item. Its architectural, "high-tech" silhouette made it a favorite for film and television set designers, most notably appearing in the movie Casino. Design & Features: Architectural Form: Dual polished brass columns support a signature "Saturn ring" made of thick, clear tempered glass. Modern Contrast: The sleek glass and brass are topped with a black, textured lamp housing, creating a striking geometric profile. Lighting Technology: Engineered for a high-intensity halogen bulb (R7s base), providing a sharp, professional glow perfect for an executive desk or library. Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition. The glass ring is clear with no major chips or scratches. The brass columns retain a brilliant, high-shine finish. Note: As with all original 80s halogen lamps, the housing can run hot during extended use, which is standard for this high-performance design. SHIPPABLE: Yes.
Please note: Shipping is charged separately from the auction. Once the auction invoice is paid, a second invoice for the exact shipping cost will be sent to the winner. This item contains a large glass component and will require professional packing for safe transport.Shipping
